Who We Are
Since becoming a Certified Technical Architect, Melissa Shephard noticed a lack of women and other underrepresented groups at her various meet-ups and community events. Since then, she has joined up with other CTA’s and Salesforce Architects to create a program providing support, mentorship, and coaching to those who would otherwise not have such avenues of support.
Scale Up Architects is adding another layer of learning and support on top of the successful Architect Ohana Slack channel. We will focus on building an architect mindset to upskill candidates from Application Architect onwards. The journey may be straight up to the top of the CTA pyramid, but it may also lead to System Architect, B2B Solution Architect, B2C Solution Architect or anywhere in between!

GET INVOLVED
Architect Candidates
After two successful pilots, we have decided to create two separate levels of cohorts. An ideal candidate for either level will be a member of an underrepresented group who does not currently have support developing their architect skills.
There is no cost for this program, but you should be aware and ready for the time investment to be successful before committing to the program. Your success is our success and it does take work!
Level 1 is a 10 week program consisting of weekly sessions, homework and a capstone project. We will focus on the soft skills and toolkit necessary to develop an architect’s mindset. Architect certifications will be helpful, but are not mandatory. You should have at least 3 years of Salesforce experience to fully benefit from the program.
Level 2 will include bi-weekly sessions focused on building out the architect skillset loosely based on the seven sections of the Certified Technical Architect exam.* You should already have successfully attained Application Architect and are looking at taking the next step on your architect journey.
Volunteer Coaches
If you are an architect of any type and looking for a way to give back to the community, let us know! We’ll be looking for more like-minded individuals to join our mission as the program develops as coaches and mentors.
